When you're the most powerful person in the world, this is what you get to roll around in. The President was in town over the weekend and I was lucky enough to catch his departure. This is the first time I've been able to see Air Force One in all her glory, being a mere taxiway's-width away. It was an amazing sight to see her take off. The engines roared to life, propelling her down the asphalt while black Secret Service vehicles chased her until wheels up. I could feel it my chest. It was a reminder that the United States is a force to be reckoned with. Air Force One rotated midway down the runway kicking up dust and in the blink of an eye, she was gone. Destination? Unknown. But wherever she goes, she brings the power of the free world with her.
