The Food Network: my new obsession. Well, not really an obsession. I've always enjoyed cooking, but I never got into it full-swing until now. I hope you enjoyed my pan-seared salmon, but as mouth-watering as it was, I decided to do something a little different. Company came over tonight and it was a pleasure for me to whip up dinner for them. I made 8 servings of New York steak served medium-well, doused in brandied mushrooms simmered in a cream-based sauce with fresh thyme, lightly-steamed asparagus coupled with steamed white rice. 8 people with absolutely no leftovers. I think it was a pretty tasty dish. What do you think?
